We are refreshing VPSnet compute with modern Cloud VPS, Firecracker microVM hosting, Firecracker Functions, and deeper AI server management.

The goal is simple: clearer products, stronger isolation, faster provisioning, better automation, and more useful tools for customers who want to run real workloads without spending time on repetitive server administration.

What is new

• Cloud VPS: KVM-based cloud servers with High Availability, replicated Ceph NVMe storage, Linux, Windows Server and BSD support, snapshots, daily restore points, and AI server management.
• Firecracker: fast, secure Linux microVM hosting with VM-level isolation, container-like speed, root access, public IP, OS reinstall, SSH keys, console, metrics, snapshots, backups, and VPSnet panel management.
• Firecracker Functions: serverless-style code execution inside isolated Firecracker microVMs, launched from the control panel, API, or webhook.
• VPSnet AI Assistant: real server-side automation integrated into Cloud VPS, Firecracker microVMs, Firecracker Functions, and supported Windows Server machines.

Cloud VPS

Cloud VPS is our KVM-based cloud server line for users who need strong isolation, full OS control, Linux, Windows Server or BSD support, snapshots, daily restore points, and High Availability. Cloud VPS uses three-copy replicated Ceph NVMe storage, so if host hardware fails the VM will be automatically restarted on another cluster host.

This makes Cloud VPS the right choice when the workload needs a full virtual machine, broader OS compatibility, custom kernel control, HA behavior, and safer maintenance workflows through snapshots and restore points.

Firecracker microVM hosting

Firecracker is our fast, secure Linux microVM platform. It combines VM-level isolation with container-like speed and efficiency, while still supporting normal server workflows: root access, public IP, OS reinstall, SSH keys, console, metrics, snapshots, backups, and service management from the VPSnet panel.

With prepared Linux images and our custom kernel profile, Firecracker is suitable for production websites, APIs, applications, workers, development environments, CI/CD, automation, containerized services, and other Linux server workloads. Lightweight here means low overhead and fast operations, not weak performance.

VPSnet AI Assistant

VPSnet AI Assistant is not just a chat window. It can perform real server-side work: inspect the system, run commands, install software, configure services, troubleshoot errors, change settings, prepare deployments, generate scripts, create or update web pages, and automate tasks requested by the user.

Examples include preparing a web stack, installing WordPress or Node.js applications, configuring Nginx and SSL, investigating logs, fixing service errors, setting up automation scripts, and producing a clear summary of what changed.

Firecracker Functions

Firecracker Functions add a serverless execution layer on the same microVM foundation. You can save code, choose a runtime, pass input, run it from the control panel, API or webhook, and inspect invocation logs, duration, output and usage cost.

Functions are useful for webhooks, integrations, data processing, AI-generated tools, maintenance actions, scheduled or event-driven automation, and backend tasks where you want isolated execution without managing a permanently running service.

Alongside these platform changes, we are updating plans and pricing so customers get stronger isolation, faster provisioning, better automation, and clearer value across the VPSnet compute lineup.
